Parenting is HARD.

You will make mistakes. No one is perfect.

It hurts.

But you're allowed to forgive yourself.

Yesterday was hard for me. Today will be better.

You have the opportunity to share.

I always say the number one piece of advice I'd give to other moms is "Forgive Yourself!"

  9. My kids are 23 and 21 and I still make mistakes. Luckily (?) they call me out on my bullshit on a regular basis. Yours will too, someday, and you'll feel better about everything. Maybe.

  10. And Tomorrow, we will be better than that. I sometimes I think that I am the worse parent; that I do everything wrong and feel terrible...holding my head in my hands...
    But then
My little six year old comes in, sits on my lap, takes my hand and says "I love you, Daddy" and it makes me feel my full measure if not more. I loved your piece .. you inspire me!

  11. What a beautiful piece. There are days I think there is no tougher job than being a parent and then when things appear to be perfect, I think their is no easier job.

I just feel blessed to go on this journey with so many beautiful people in this world that stand the strength of patience and the ups and downs of being a parent.

  12. Beautiful. Forgiving ourselves as parent's, in life, is a hard lesson, and you captured it gorgeously as usual.

  15. The greatest quote I ever learned as a mom..."This too, shall pass" every day gets better, when you know more you do more.
