When I think of Katie Couric, I think of intelligence and warmth, humour, curiosity, honesty and critical thinking...perhaps it's because I have teenage daughters, but the words "role" and "model" gravitate towards each other when I hear her name. Interviewed by BlogHer co-founder Lisa Stone in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton NY, in front of 5000 breathless women, she did not disappoint. Katie Couric was undeniably animated.

She was talking about how the internet has unleashed good things and bad things, citing the "anonymous vitriole" on Twitter and saying "I spend a lot of time blocking them." And then she turned to one side and made stabbing gestures at an invisible smartphone, and actually said this:

And I fell in love.

The Katie Show premieres September 10th, 2012. I may just have to get cable for this.

ART Therapy.

When you open your mouth to sing, or string words together on a page, or draw your heart on your sleeve... you open yourself up to the world. And people will smile and be moved when your work touches their lives. But because you've exposed your heart, you become vulnerable. Sometimes you will be attacked.

And when I'm attacked, I say: PICKLE Weasel to the rescue!

Thanks to everyone for the the hugs yesterday; I love you for it. Yeah, drawing this made me feel better too. It's art therapy. Cyber bullies will be kissed off. And now, back to regularly scheduled programming!

Drawing Trolls is fun! Who knew???

Here's a Baby Troll, practising his meanies. He'll grow up to do some great web trolling some day.

LOVE Thy TROLL.

It was only a matter of time before a Troll finally turned up here on my blog. If you are that rare innocent who knows not what a Troll is, feast your eyes on this Wikipedia definition.

Plain English? Someone who comments mean things just to get a reaction.

There are ways of dealing with Trolls. Some like to engage in a game of One-Up-Manship. This could produce a large amount of heated comments which have nothing to do with the original blog post.

And there are those who say it's best not to feed the Troll...just ignore it and it will go away.

But I say - TROLLS! You are welcome on my blog!

You will be greeted with LOVE!

You will be OVERWHELMED by it!

Until you are rendered harmless.

And cute.

Trolls are people too, right?
