BLACKout.

Don't be silenced, don't fall asleep.

I live in Canada, but if SOPA or PIPA goes down in the US, it'll impact my blog immediately. And then it's only a matter of time before Canada follows suit.

Use your voice. Take action here >>> End Piracy, Not Liberty.

  2. Hats off JC. Thank you for supporting us in the US from the North, the impact will be global and the loss of free knowledge will be devastating. We have also turned all of our blogs, and all of our tourism and even our company websites black in protest for today. We offered all hosting clients that we would temporarily change their sites for 24 hours at no charge AND if they did it, they would get a free months hosting. It will indeed hit us in the wallet, but we absolutely refuse to go silently without a stand. Thank you, YOU ROCK! xo PEACH OUT !

    1. The short of it is this, SOPA would allow the US government to seize domain names (even if the site is hosted outside of the US) and point them to a "this company/person is a pirate" page. There would be no court hearing on this. Just a company or person claiming infringement. In addition, linking to a site that had infringing content on it would get your site pulled. And, just because all of that wasn't bad enough, you could get 5 years in jail for posting a video of your kid dancing to a pop song on YouTube.

This is definitely a law that need to be killed.
