How did I cope?
I really haven't the slightest idea. I liken it to having a newborn; you really have no choice, so you just keep moving forward. I will say I loved having the bed to myself (he takes his half from the middle), but beyond that, I don't know how I survived.
Oh. RIght now? He's on a business trip. We close on our house and move in one week. Yes, I'm a wreck. But I get the bed to myself tonight. ; )Jenhttp://laughingatchaos.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7617167122537575386.post-54896920199741446132011-07-10T21:43:28.194-04:002011-07-10T21:43:28.194-04:00There has only been a couple of times that hubs an...There has only been a couple of times that hubs and I have slept apart and they were all when either of us were in the hospital.
When that happens, I sleep on the couch with my doggies, they don't like to be without him either. =)
Lorie of The Shewbridges
http://wmljshewbridges.blogspot.com
LJS65@aol.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7617167122537575386.post-61089152456855376142011-07-06T14:44:21.739-04:002011-07-06T14:44:21.739-04:00Yeah, pillow-stuffing became a necessity when his ...Yeah, pillow-stuffing became a necessity when his work took him to Asia and I had to stay here because of too many projects. We would see each other about 1 week every 2 months when he had to report to head office in Montreal. Then came the time that I had to 'move' to Toronto (eek) for business. I was there every 2 weeks. So now, all that travelling is over and done with, hubby has found a hobby that keeps him beside me whenever I'm working.

OH!!! That's haaaaaaarrrrrrd. Believe it or not, before I decided to settle down with the hubby, figuratively speaking, I'm like an 'army wife.' He goes home twice a year and for only 16days each time. I hooked him up with all the gadgets and we watch each other sleep at night online/oncam while the other goes through his/her day doing stuff. It was tough at first but my parents taught us that if we want to work things out, discipline, trust and compromise are the key to long-distance relationship. (My dad worked as a nurse for 13years abroad, living proof that long-distance relationship works if you are willing to work it out.)Caihttp://exploringdiningexperiences.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7617167122537575386.post-89728727228209285432011-07-05T14:37:26.812-04:002011-07-05T14:37:26.812-04:00Alison and Bewildered Bug - I want cake now. That was PURE hell! We were house hunting, both of us still living at home (well, I had just moved back home 2 weeks before we started dating). Anyway, it was a nightmare. We only saw each other on Saturdays and Sundays! But we managed and we feel asleep hugging every night for a month when we moved into our first home (tummy flu stopped the habit).
